I had an hour to kill before I had to meet someone nearby so I stopped in. The server was friendly and prompt. I was looking for something small to eat while I waited but everything was too much food for a quick snack. Place was clean and tidy.

First time to visit. Great appetizer "Sprouts From Brussels". The brussel sprouts are fried, and mixed with smoked bacon and Asian sauce. Very tasty!! I give it a 5+ rating. The main dish was "Blackjack" burger. Blackened seasoning with pepper jack cheese, onions, jalapeños with chipotle aioli. Pretty tasty. I give it a 4 rating.

Worth the drive off the freeway if you're driving through. Food was excellent and service was outstanding. Sitting at the bar and a bartender who I didn't order my original beverage with came by and asked me if I wanted another goose and soda. Was very impressed that she listened when I ordered and I didn't order for her. It's always the little things that keep people coming back.

We were in a while back and sat at the bar. Melissa was the bartender that day. She was AMAZING. She made some great recommendations, including the Brussel sprouts, which... under any other circumstances, we would've never eaten. She said they were the MOST ordered item there... we declined but she brought us a sample anyway. Let me tell you, we understand now. They were crispy, perfectly sauced and surprisingly delicious! The burgers we had were also great but my favorite was the house made French onion dip that came with the chips. TOP. TIER. We also sampled a couple of the "cowboy up" and "pop goes the weasel" rolls. Needless to say, we were impressed by these as well. Only great things to say about the place as well as Melissa's service and we ended lunch with a hug for the man that created the menu!

Thouroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. I had the Blythe's (If you could see what I hear) and the Sweet Potato Puffs... Yummy & Spicy! Oh, not to mention the Brussel Appetizer. Yummy overload

Now that we're living in a COVID world, The Rusty Mug has made some changes. The community games are gone and have been replaced by signs telling people to stay 6 feet apart. Unfortunately, the table games were the main reason I visited before the pandemic hit. Without pool, water pong, or giant Jenga, the restaurant is a quiet hangout with just a few TV's at the bar. It just feels ... hollow. This place isn't very entertaining otherwise so I'm knocking off a star for my updated review. Thanks a lot, coronavirus! From what I've tried, I say half the menu is fantastic and the other half is strange. I'm pushing myself to try the new trends of frou-frou food but nothing so far has made me happy. Pop Goes the Weasel was a fantastic appetizer filled with cream cheese, cheddar jack cheese, chicken, and diced jalapenos (which weren't very spicy). My plate of Sprouts from Brussels was like eating burnt balls of paper drizzled in Asian sauce (I ate it all because that's frickin' $7 for brussels sprouts, daaaang). The coleslaw is very weird so I suggest asking for a sample before paying $2 for an upgrade from chips or $3 for a side! The bartender, Victoria, was helpful at recommending popular menu items and explained the Mug Club. From what I understand, to join the club, a person pays $50 to become a member and they get to pick out a mug on display. The member then picks an available number to be written on the bottom of the ceramic glass. The mugs are 32oz but members only pay for a 22oz draft pour and get small discounts on menu items of the day. At the end of the year, members can renew for $20 or take the mug home.
